Our origins are in the tradition of Oxford House, we evolved as our residents needed more support than a strictly peer-run recovery organization could provide. Using this experience, Callan decided to organize a more structured living situation for himselfand his newly sober friends. The basic rules of the house would center on accountability,sponsorship, meeting schedules, and house rules. If people wanted to follow these rules theycould be his roommates. Callan also thought it better to include only men, having observed thatthe co-ed living environment is not always ideal for those in early recovery. Transitional housing is provided for (90) day sober living and Independent Sober Living for up to (3 years) for those in recovery from drug & alcoholism addiction.

Rather it is a place where addicts help other addicts and support them in their recovery. Our mission is to provide safe, supportive sober living communities for those in recovery. Over the next few years, Callan saw his passion for helping others in recovery grow into anetwork of 8 sober houses for men and women, where he continues to work and carry themessage of recovery.

Stepping Stones Recovery Homes

Stepping Stones of Atlanta Recovery Residence offers a safe, structured environment (also known as sober living house or halfway house) for men  who are recovering from the disease of addiction. Stepping Stones of Atlanta provides a supportive, drug-free environment in a community setting. Stepping Stones of Atlanta Recovery Residence is 12 step based and offers a sober living environment. The 12-steps of Alcoholics Anonymous are, in our opinion, is the only proven method of establishing long-term sobriety for people who suffer from drug addiction or alcoholism. By aligning Stepping Stone’s sober living program with the 12 Steps, we not only access the therapeutic value of the Steps, but also establish a support system for the clients. Stepping Stones of Atlanta Recovery Residence believes that each client has value as a person, capable of self-determination and is therefore due respect and honesty.

Stepping Stones Recovery Houses – Frederick

Stepping Stones homes promote community, recovery, and peer support. Our goal is to provide a built-in network of persons with positive healthy behaviors to encourage one another. I live in Frederick but my daughter doesn’t want me living here. I am looking to continue my sobriety and live in a sober environment. This property sits on a beautiful 3 acres and is open to single women and women with children. Stepping Stones is a 501(c)3 faith based drug/alcohol recovery program for men ages years of age.

Our sober living homes are group residences for men who are struggling with addiction from alcohol and drugs. In most instances, men  who live in sober homes have to follow certain house rules and contribute to the home by doing chores. Most importantly, residents must stay sober throughout their stay in the home. Living in this type of environment can promote lasting recovery–helping men to maintain their sobriety as they adjust in life both during and after treatment. Many men use sober housing to help make the transition from rehab to living independently without using drugs or alcohol.

Each Stepping Stones sober home has a on-site house manager whose responsibility is to ensure the well being of the house occupants. All with at least one year of sobriety, the house managers show a commitment to working a 12-step program in their daily lives, and demonstrate through their actions that they can lead by example. Hours of Operation

Wait don’t leave you’re on the right website for substance abuse recovery. Stepping Stones has zero tolerance for residents using in our homes and will ask residents to leave the house who don’t adhere to the rules outlined in their lodger agreement. Each resident is drug tested at least once per week for a wide array of substances. In addition, residents rooms are searched regularly for substances and other paraphernalia. Privileges and responsibility are tied to phases of the Stepping Stones program. These phases are tied to milestones as the resident progresses in his recovery program.

Stepping Stones staff work closely with new residents and support the needs of all housing units. Each house  democratically elects a house president, who assists with leading meetings, intake of new residents, and reporting to Stepping Stones staff in the case of an issue. They are trusted servants who have a vested interest in the smooth functioning of the housing environment. Stepping Stones housing is based on the Oxford model operating on the concept of group accountability, democratically run by residents. Stepping Stones is not a treatment center nor a traditional halfway house.

The program was gracious when I was struggling to get back on Harbor House Review my feet and has provided safety and support as I fight my way back to recovery. I am now 6 months clean and sober, I am employed full time, I am learning to care for myself and my needs and I have a safe place to call home. I know without a doubt I would not still be clean and sober without the foundation I have been gifted with at Stepping Stones.

Our goal is to help residents rebuild their lives and achieve long-term success, independence, and hope. We offer case management and outpatient services through local providers such as Wellstone and grant programs to ensure long-term recovery. Additionally, for those residents on Medication Assisted Treatment, Stepping Stones offers housing and recovery support services in a controlled setting. Being held accountable decreases the likelihood of relapse and helps client become productive members of society. I am in need of a bed with part of my pre-trial supervision requirements. I recently completed right turn impact 28 days treatment center. We have great selections of furniture, household items, clothes, shoes, and jewelry just to name a few. To that end, the residence is alcohol and drug free and each house member participates in its upkeep and operation. As housemates, they support each other in recovery and hold each other accountable in attending to daily chores and obligations. Over the next 3 years, he saw the difference these rules made in his house, and how they helpedthe men in early recovery to stay sober.

Transitional housing is temporary housing for the working homeless population and is set up to transition their residents to permanent housing. Coaching, resume development, mock interviews, skill assessments; are all components of a new residents’ job search strategy. Accountability is one of the main principles at Stepping Stones Sober Living to assist in an effective transition.

Three-quarter house offers a structured, transitional living program for adult men recovering from alcohol and drug addictions. Residents are required to participate in recovery support groups.
